What Antonio had for dinner on April 30, 1999
Actually I had a school lunch for dinner. (Antonio is a teacher.) Yesterday the school-issued lunches were bag lunches because the kids were going to be eating outside. I noticed there were some bag lunches left over at the end of the school day. I knew I wasn't going to have time to eat dinner. (He and his family were taking the two-hour drive to his sister's fiftieth birthday party.) So I took one to eat in the car. When I opened the bag, there was a bologna sandwich with mayonnaise and that kind of spongy white bread. It was pretty bad. But in a way it was good because it made me realize what they're giving the kids to eat at school. There was an apple in there too. After eating the bologna sandwich, the apple tasted great.
