Actually we had fun. For dessert we made a recipe for apple cake from
a cookbook that Sean's class (Sean is her son) put together when
he was in kindergarten. I think the teacher's idea for the cookbook was
to teach the kids math but it was mainly just a fun project. Anyway, for
dinner we had barbecued chicken, corn muffins, and broccoli with a sauce
made from balsamic and rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce, and ginger.
We had more time to put together a real dinner last night because it was
the weekend. On weeknights dinner is usually whatever we can slam together
as quickly as possible.
